About Techrealonline
Real Fixes for Real Riders.
Hi, I’m Mak.
“Welcome to TechReal Repair. My name is Mak, and I manage a small repair workshop in Boston. I started this website because I was tired of seeing broken electronics thrown away. I specialize in fixing micro-mobility devices (like e-scooters) and home networking gear. Every guide on this site is tested to help you save money on repairs.”
I started Techrealonline for one simple reason: I got tired of being told “No.”
A few years ago, my first e-bike (a budget commuter) threw an error code. It wouldn’t run. I took it to three local bike shops. They all said the same thing: “Sorry, we don’t work on these brands.” or “You need to buy a whole new motor.”
I didn’t have $500 for a new motor. So, I opened the controller myself.
It turned out to be a loose $0.50 wire. I fixed it in 5 minutes.
The Mission: Don’t Trash It, Fix It.
The e-mobility revolution is here, but the support system isn’t. Brands like RadPower, Lectric, Gotrax, and Hiboy are selling millions of vehicles, but when they break, owners are left stranded.
Big tech sites only care about “New Reviews.” They don’t care about maintenance.
That is why this site exists.
My goal is to build the internet’s most specific, helpful library of DIY Repair Guides for the bikes and scooters that real people actually ride.
What You Will Find Here
-
Zero Fluff: I don’t write 2,000-word essays on the history of electricity. I give you the fix.
-
Sniper Guides: Specific fixes for specific error codes (Error 30, False Green Lights, Dead Throttles).
-
Budget Focused: I will always show you the “free fix” or the cheap part before suggesting a replacement.
A Note on Safety
I am a passionate builder and tinkerer, not a certified electrical engineer. The guides on this site are based on my personal experience repairing Bafang motors, replacing scooter fuses, and troubleshooting controller harnesses.
Working on lithium batteries and high-voltage controllers carries risks. Always put safety first, wear gear, and if you are unsure, consult a professional.
Ride Safe, Mak
